At Center for Progressive Nutrition, our mission is to listen to you and use our knowledge and expertise to work with you in achieving your health goals.
The gut and the brain are connected. What you eat, how you digest your food, and your nutrigenomic make-up can have a profound effect on your mental and physical well-being. An Integrative and Functional Nutritionist goes beyond the basic food groups and looks at how food affects your gut as well as your body on the cellular level.
Meet Marjorie Livingston. Marjorie MS, RDN, CDN has worked in the field of food and nutrition for over 30 years.
She specializes in Integrative and Functional Medical Nutrition Therapy (FMNT) and Eating Disorders. She has practiced in the Hudson Valley, New York, before opening her private practice in Greenwich, CT.
With compassion and careful listening, Marjorie helps her clients achieve the goals they are seeking. Using comprehensive questionnaires, in-depth discussions with her clients, and lab tests as appropriate, she digs deep to uncover the big picture.
During her career she focused her nutrition and counseling skills on Eating Disorders at Glenbeigh Hospital in West Palm Beach, FL, and Renfrew Center in Greenwich, CT. Marjorie taught at the level of Associate Professor, and was awarded Faculty Member of the Year at the Culinary Institute of America. She contributed to the nutrition content and appeared in the Healthy Cooking video series which was awarded the Silver Spoon Award at the Culinary Convention.
Her background also includes working as a Clinical Dietitian in the acute care setting. In addition to her private practice, Marjorie consults for authors of cookbooks and nutrition textbooks and presents wellness and nutrition workshops to corporate clients.
The Initial Assessment includes a comprehensive questionnaire, review of any available lab work you may have and the opportunity to meet you and listen to your health goals. You leave with a basic plan that fits your needs.
